Tisha B’Av, the 9th day of the month of Av, is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, on which we fast, mourn and Daven. It is the culmination of the Three Weeks, a period of time during which we mark the destruction of the Bais Hamikdash. The Auschwitz Album is the only surviving visual evidence of the process leading to the mass murder at Auschwitz-Birkenau. It is a unique document and was donated to Yad Vashem by Lilly Jacob-Zelmanovic Meier.
